This experiment involved 3 test groups:
1) A test group given carbohydrate drinks.
2) A test group given carbohydrate/protein mix drinks.
3) A test group given carbohydrate/protein/free leucine drinks.
The difference in full-body muscle synthesis was compared between each group. The result showed that the carbohydrate/protein/L-Leucine group had the best muscle protein synthesis and most optimal full-body protein balance.

Triple A Revolutions is a great supplement for athletes looking to increase muscle mass because it contains an optimal ratio of carbohydrate, protein, and L-Leucine.

A James Madison University Study

In this study, carbohydrate/protein mixed drinks were compared to carbohydrate-only drinks. The parameters studied were endurance performance and muscle damage. 15 male cyclists were studied.

Test subjects first rode at 75% VO2peak to volitional exhaustion. Then 12-15 hours later, they performance a second ride at 85% VO2peak, again to exhaustion.

During the first test, the group taking the carbohydrate/protein mix drink were able to ride 29% longer than the group taking the carbohydrate-only drink. During the second test, the carbohydrate/protein group were able to ride 40% longer.

Peak post-exercise plasma CPK levels, indicative of muscle damage, was 83% lower for the carbohydrate/protein group compared to the carbohydrate-only group.

This study demonstrated that a carbohydrate/protein mix drink is superior to a carbohydrate-only drink in terms of endurance performance and muscle damage recovery. The study indicates that Triple A Revolution, which contains Cluster Dextrin® and Whey Peptide (each arguable the best carbohydrate and protein,) is beneficial for endurance athletes.

In this study, cyclists exercised for 3 hours at 45-75% VO2max then at 85% VO2max until exhaustion. The 3 test groups of a carbohydrate-only group, a carbohydrate/protein group and a placebo group were studied for performance differences.

The results were as follows:
The carbohydrate/protein mix group took 26.9 min ± 4.5min until exhaustion.
The carbohydrate-only group took 19.7 min ± 4.6min until exhaustion.
The placebo group took 12.7 min ± 3.1 min until exhaustion.

The above result indicates that a carbohydrate/protein mix drink gives superior endurance performance enhancements compared to a carbohydrate-only drink.
